INTRINSIC COMPETENCIES

Intrinsic competencies are the fundamental, internal qualities and mindsets that define a leader's inherent attributes and how they operate. These include core aspects of Character (e.g., integrity and self-awareness), elements of Capacity (e.g,. resilience and adaptability), and the foundational interpersonal dimensions of Communication. Developing these competencies is crucial for leadership as they build genuine trust and credibility, empower leaders to navigate pressure with resilience, and foster strong, empathetic relationships within teams. Ultimately, strong intrinsic qualities are the bedrock upon which effective extrinsic skills are built, enabling holistic and impactful leadership development.
